Technical Purchasing Engineer
Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Technical Purchasing Engineer to manage technical purchasing processes for the successful execution of electrical and mechanical projects in our company. The following primary responsibilities will constitute the main duties of this position:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate the existing supplier base, research new supplier sources, and establish close working relationships with suppliers. Negotiate on pricing, delivery times, and quality matters.
Develop purchasing strategies in line with the company’s goals and projects. Prepare and implement short-term and long-term purchasing plans.
Create, organize, and update technical purchasing specifications as needed. Define the technical specifications and quality requirements of products.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical-Electronics Engineering from a reputable university,
- Preferably experienced in the industrial facilities and/or oil & gas sector,
- At least 3 years of experience in similar positions,
- Proficient in English,
- Proficient in MS Office programs,
- Experienced in preparing technical purchasing specifications,
- Capable of managing auditing and control processes in the supply chain,
- Able to monitor current market conditions, research new supplier sources and target markets, and establish communication,
- Capable of providing reports to management regarding current activities, plans, and strategies,
- Ensure and support all written and verbal communication with suppliers in accordance with product information, pricing, and orders;
- Able to develop purchasing strategies, perform necessary analyses and market/sector research, and ensure that the purchasing process is carried out at the right time, with the right quality, and at a suitable cost.
